The Monster Tamer puts you in the role of a tamer setting out on an adventure through locations filled with creatures waiting to be found and caught. Each monster carries its own characteristics, and facing them means thinking through special tactics and bringing the right equipment to handle lightning attacks or tricky defensive mechanisms. One scene shows a scarecrow-like figure with a pumpkin head and a dark purple robe standing on a dirt path. Another scene shows small green coniferous trees and grey rounded rocks scattered across a flat grassy plane.

How to Play The Monster Tamer: Explore, Battle, and Catch

The goal is to explore locations, catch every monster in each area, upgrade them, and rise to become the strongest monster tamer around.

Finding Monsters

Move through the world and search the bushes — discovering a monster there triggers a switch into battle mode.

Fighting and Catching

In battle mode, winning a fight opens the chance to catch the defeated monster. Lose the fight and the monster escapes. Use the skills of your own monsters to turn the battle in your favor.

Upgrading

After catching monsters, upgrade them to grow stronger as you work toward clearing every location.
