Cavern of Gears drops you into a gear-driven steampunk underworld where the fate of vanished workers waits to be uncovered. The game is a 2D action-adventure built around pushing deeper into caverns, building up an arsenal, and confronting the powers that moved in after the workers disappeared. A century-old secret sits at the heart of the story, and clearing every stage and boss is the only way to reach it.

One room opens onto a circular hole cut through the floor, with two staircases carved into the surrounding brick-like walls. Elsewhere, a stone chamber holds a large central structure lined with glowing orange circular openings.
