About Bus Jam

Bus Jam stacks two interlocking puzzles on one screen. Below sits a car park crammed with cars, vans, and buses, each painted a distinct colour and pointing in a set direction. Above it, a queue of passengers winds through the park in colour-coded blocks. Free a vehicle and it rolls into a bay, boarding passengers that match its colour from the front of the queue. The tension comes from a tight supply of bays: a bay only clears when it fills up and drives away, so pulling out the wrong vehicle at the wrong moment can lock everything up.

Levels are generated and never run out. The car park is laid out in ten different packings — rows, rings, herringbone, spiral, sunburst — and the game spans thirteen worlds that rotate every five levels, running from City Park to Snow Town. One scene shows small houses with brown and grey roofs lining either side of a grey U-shaped path.

How to Play Bus Jam: Clear the Queue Before the Bays Jam

The goal is to empty the entire passenger queue before every bay fills up simultaneously. Tap a vehicle and it drives out along its arrow, boarding passengers of its own colour from the front of the queue. If another vehicle is parked in its path, it bumps back into place and the move costs nothing. A bay that fills up drives away and opens itself again. The level ends the moment the front passenger has no matching bay to enter. Clear the whole queue and the level is yours, earning coins and stars.
