Farkle Dice Game

About Farkle Dice Game

Farkle Dice Game puts luck at the center of every turn in one of the world's most popular dice games. The goal is straightforward: roll six dice, collect point dice, and push your total toward 10,000 points — but roll a blank turn and it's a Farkle, wiping out everything you built that round. Fast-paced and easy to pick up in minutes, Farkle has also been known by names including Farkel, 1000/5000/10000, Cosmic Wimpout, Greed, Hot Dice, Squelch, Zilch, Zonk, and Darsh. Beyond the fun, it doubles as an educational game that exercises both math skills and visual memory.

How to Play Farkle Dice Game: Accumulate 10,000 Points

Each turn begins with rolling all six dice at once. Any dice showing a 1, a 5, or three of a kind count as point dice and are set aside. After setting aside at least one scoring die, the choice is yours: roll the remaining dice to chase a higher total, or stop and bank the points already collected.

The danger is the Farkle. If the dice come up with no point dice at all, every point accumulated during that turn is lost. The tension between pressing on and stopping safely is what drives every decision. Playing smart means weighing the risk of each additional roll against the points already in hand — play it risky or play it safe, but play it smart.
