About Treadbreaker

Treadbreaker puts a small tracked robot on an endlessly loading road packed with monsters. The robot fires on its own — steering is the player's only direct task. Weapons bolt on automatically when the robot drives through upgrade pods scattered along the road, and each pickup visibly changes both the robot's appearance and how it fights. Twin blasters, a gatling, homing rockets, a laser lance, a flamer, a tesla coil, side guns, drones, a saw ram, a shield dome, and more are all available as pickups, and each weapon performs best against specific monster types.

The game spans twelve distinct lands across multiple chapters, running from the Overgrown Meadow and the Junkyard through the Sky Islands, the Candy Kingdom, the Zombie Marsh, and the Robot Citadel. Each chapter covers three lands, and only a boss can halt the road's forward momentum. Twelve giant bosses stand between the player and completion, with up to three stars earnable per chapter. Clearing Chapter 6 unlocks the Endless Road. Between runs, gears collected on the road can be spent in the garage on permanent upgrades, daily missions keep the challenge fresh, and a monster album fills as new enemies are encountered.

How to Play Treadbreaker: Steer, Upgrade, and Defeat Bosses

The robot shoots automatically, so the core task is steering left and right to collect upgrades, avoid hazards, and position for combat. Upgrade pods appear along the road; driving into one bolts that weapon directly onto the robot. Pods marked STRONG HERE are specifically matched to counter the monsters found in the current land, making them especially worth targeting.

Enemy shots, obstacles, and the red warning zones telegraphing boss attacks all need to be dodged. Gears and crystals are collected as the road rolls forward. Defeating the boss at the end of each land completes the chapter. Permanent strength gains come from spending gears in the garage between runs.
