About Tavern Tornado: Roguelike Fantasy Tavern Strategy
Tavern Tornado is a roguelike strategy game about running a fantasy tavern where every evening a small whirlwind sweeps through and seats your guests at random across a table with 20 seats. Guests earn gold where they land, and earn far more when seated next to neighbours they like — so the chaos of the whirlwind is also the heart of the game's strategy. Every guest, dish, and piece of furniture arrives in a handmade clay look that gives the whole experience a warm, tactile character.
Dwarves, orcs, elves, and goblins each carry their own synergies, joined by mixed-race heroes, hearty food, furniture, and tavern staff. Collect three copies of the same guest and they fuse into a much stronger Master. Guests of honour arrive at set times, announce their gold demands in advance, and must be paid or the tavern is lost — pay them and a relic is yours to choose. Four taverns each end with their own boss: the Bandit Chief, the Ogre King, the Witch, and the Dragon. Later taverns layer on new rules that shape the entire run, including ogres crowding the table, guests turning into frogs, and dragon fire landing on seats.
The first tavern opens with two guests already seated and a handful of short hints, so the rules reveal themselves through play. Beat a tavern to unlock its first star; each star raises the difficulty, and every win opens the next, up to a fifth star with its own twist per tavern — 20 stars in total across all four. Between runs, renown earned in the shop buys new guests, relics, and upgrades for every tavern. After a victory, endless mode continues the run with the Lich returning again and again with ever-higher demands. The Hall of Fame tracks all 26 achievements alongside best gold scores in every tavern.
How to Play Tavern Tornado
Each evening the doors open, the whirlwind seats every guest at random, and gold flows — most generously between guests who like their neighbours. After the evening ends, choose one new guest from three options. Accumulate a third copy of any guest and they fuse into a Master, a significantly stronger version. Guests of honour appear on a schedule and state their gold requirement ahead of time; meet the demand to earn a relic, fail and the run ends. Survive all the guests of honour to face the tavern's boss and, on a win, unlock the next star difficulty.

- Restart button: give up the tavern and start a new one
- Quick skip (in settings): puts Skip on the door button while choosing a new guest
