Sky Hoppers: Obby Race drops six runners onto a single course suspended high above the sea, where floating islands serve as the only ground beneath your feet. The first player across the finish line claims the top of the podium, while everyone else scrambles to keep up. Several scenes show floating landmasses with bright pink tops and brown, jagged rock-like undersides. Small orange mushrooms with rounded caps are clustered on the pink surface of one of those islands.

The course spans four distinct worlds — a flower meadow, Candy Land, ice islands, and a sunset sky — and 11 kinds of obstacles stand between you and the finish. Stepping stones over open water, spinning bars, pushers, crumbling tiles, and jump pads all appear across the levels, and every new level stretches the course longer and makes it trickier. Coins collected along the way unlock 17 heroes, among them Gold, Neon, and Galaxy, plus six trails to leave streaming behind you: sparkles, hearts, stars, rainbow, bubbles, and fire. Progress is saved between sessions.

The goal is straightforward — navigate the obstacle course faster than the other five runners and land among the top three to earn the most coins. Fall into the water and the run resets from the last flag rather than the very beginning. Grabbing coins scattered on the course adds to your total, and finishing in the top three earns even more.
