Nav: Descent into Darkness
About Nav: Descent into Darkness — Fast First-Person Pixel-Art Shooter
Nav: Descent into Darkness drops you into a grim universe rooted in Slavic myth, where ghouls, kikimoras, leshys, and ancient lords of darkness lurk around every corner. The game is a fast first-person pixel-art shooter built in the spirit of 90s classics, spanning a hundred floors spread across twenty unique worlds — from deep forests and flooded grottoes to fiery forges and the abyss itself.
Several scenes show a library with wooden floorboards and shelves packed with brown and tan books beneath a dark ceiling laced with white patterns. Stone walls partially covered in green moss and vines appear in a corridor of light grey cracked tiles. A floating character sprite in a grey hooded robe with tattered edges recurs across the game's views.
A fair leaderboard, dozens of achievements, and both light and dark themes round out the experience. Controls feel at home on PC and phone alike.
How to Play Nav: Descent into Darkness — Descend, Clear, and Defeat Every Lord
The goal is to descend ever deeper, clearing floor after floor until every lord of darkness has been defeated.
Floor Progression
Each floor has two storeys that must both be cleared to open the exit. Boss floors work differently — the boss must be defeated before the exit becomes available. Every fifth floor brings a duel with a unique boss, each carrying its own attacks and a signature projectile.
Between Floors
After clearing a floor, spend skill points on the upgrade tree. The tree covers damage, armor, healing, and elemental power — both fire and frost. The deeper you descend, the stronger your hero grows.
Combat and Survival
Pick up ammo and medkits as you go, and never let the horde surround you. Match your weapon to the enemy at hand. Eight guns are available, ranging from a trusty pistol to the screen-wide annihilator — save that last one for crowds, since it strikes across the entire screen.
