Mahjong Tide
About Mahjong Tide
Mahjong Tide is a mahjong solitaire game built around a simple, satisfying loop: match pairs of free, identical tiles until the board is clear. What sets it apart is the classic art hidden behind every layout — paintings that unlock as you progress. Every deal is generated from a real solution, so no board is ever unsolvable.
Four distinct ways to play keep the experience fresh. Flow offers an endless stream of boards. A shared daily puzzle gives every player the same challenge on the same day. The Tokaido journey traces Japan's old road across 55 stations. Free Play opens hundreds of layouts to tackle at your own pace.
How to Play Mahjong Tide: Clear the Board by Matching Pairs
The goal is to remove every tile from the board. Select two identical tiles that are both free — a tile is free when nothing rests on top of it and at least one of its sides (left or right) is open. Matching pairs quickly builds a chain, so keeping momentum matters. Flowers and seasons follow special rules: any two flower tiles match each other, and any two season tiles match each other.
Hints and undo are available whenever you get stuck. Clear all tiles to win the board.
