Brick shooter is a browser-based puzzle game built as a faithful analog of the original Brick Shooter released in 2000 — recreated specifically because that classic can no longer run on modern computers. The game is designed for anyone who wants to revisit that experience, as well as for players looking to sharpen their logic. A black grid holds cyan, red, blue, green, and yellow rounded squares, and the goal is to clear that field entirely by placing bricks from the sides and forming color-matched groups. Points come both from those group removals and from completing each level, with a leaderboard tracking the best scores across all players.

How to Play Brick shooter

The playing field is surrounded by bricks on all four sides. Clicking one of those side bricks adds it to the field, and the placement strategy is straightforward: arrange bricks so that identical colors end up adjacent to each other. Once a same-color group reaches three or more bricks, the entire group is removed and points are awarded. Finishing a level earns additional points, and each successive level is harder than the last. Levels are generated, so the layouts vary throughout play.

Two tools sit in the lower right corner to help when things go wrong. The cancel button undoes the last action — it also works when moving to a new level, letting you generate a more appealing layout before committing. If a brick is blocking progress, a hammer can break it directly; the number of hammers available is limited, so they matter. The leaderboard records the best players, with points awarded for both group combinations and level completions.
