About Card Golf Solitaire: Clear the Tableau in Fewest Moves

Card Golf Solitaire is a relaxing yet strategic card game built around one satisfying challenge: clear the tableau by forming runs of cards in ascending or descending order, regardless of suit. The layout opens with seven columns of five cards each, the top card of every column face up, and a draw pile waiting to the side. The goal is to move every card off the tableau, ideally with the fewest moves possible — the "golf" in the name reflects that lower scores are better.

How to Play Card Golf Solitaire

Select a card from the tableau that sits one rank higher or lower than the top card of the discard pile, then place it on the discard pile to extend the sequence. Suit never matters — only rank. When no valid tableau card is available, draw from the draw pile to open new possibilities. The game ends once all cards have been cleared from the tableau.

The objective stated in the rules is to move all cards from the seven tableau columns and the draw pile to the foundation pile on the right, building it in ascending order from Ace to King.
