2248: Merge & Slash
About 2248: Merge & Slash — Puzzle Battles with Chains and Monsters
2248: Merge & Slash takes the familiar numbered-tile puzzle at its core and wraps it around a combat system where every chain you build becomes an attack. The goal is straightforward: build chains, unleash attacks, defeat monsters, collect coins, and push through increasingly dangerous enemies to see how far you are able to go.
Several scenes show a 5×5 grid filled with numbered square tiles, each carrying a background in ice, fire, stone, leaf, or purple textures. A small character with brown hair, a white tunic, and a silver sword stands on a green grassy ledge. Across from that character, a green bipedal creature with a skeletal face and a wooden staff faces the player.
How to Play 2248: Merge & Slash — Build Chains, Attack, and Upgrade
The chain-building rule is specific: the first two tiles in a chain must match, and every tile after that must be exactly one level higher. A valid chain might read 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 4, 5. Once the chain is merged, a new Level 6 tile appears on the board and an Attack Card is awarded. Both the length of the chain and the levels of the tiles involved determine how powerful that attack is.
Elements and Special Effects
The final tile in any chain sets the attack's element. Fire, Ice, Lightning, and other elements each add bonus elemental damage to the strike. Chains longer than five tiles have a chance to trigger a special effect — Critical Hit, Stun, Life Steal, or other powerful bonuses — giving longer chains an extra layer of impact beyond raw damage.
Progression and Upgrades
Defeating enemies earns experience and coins. Those coins can be spent on upgrades that increase Health, boost elemental damage, and improve the chance of triggering special effects, making each run progressively stronger.
