Verity is a horror visual novel by KERBS about a strange game mod that presents itself as the perfect companion — then gradually stops behaving like an ordinary program. The story opens in a dream, then moves inside the game itself, where the player and Verity build a house, gather resources, and explore forests, mines, and an empty village. Verity seems helpful and caring at first, but the questions grow increasingly personal and the behavior increasingly unsettling. The further the story goes, the thinner the line between the screen and reality becomes.
