Trench War
About Trench War
Trench War puts you against an artificial intelligence opponent in a turn-based strategy battle where being stronger, smarter, and more cunning than your enemy is the only path to victory. The AI carefully analyzes the battlefield and pushes forward relentlessly, holding its position to the last. Several scenes show small pixelated humanoid figures wearing orange helmets and green clothing while carrying grey objects. Two dark green tracked vehicles with turrets appear on a grey road in the background across multiple views of the game.
After each victory, coins let you upgrade your units however you choose — with many characteristics available, the options for how to build toward the next win are countless. The higher the level you complete, the more coins you receive, though each successive level grows more difficult while staying just as engaging.
How to Play Trench War: Reach the Enemy Side
The victory condition is straightforward: get your units to the enemy's side on the right. The enemy is trying to do exactly the same thing in reverse — reach your side on the left — and allowing that means defeat.
Deploying soldiers starts with clicking the soldier button at the bottom of the screen, then selecting where the group should appear: top, middle, or bottom lane. Once units are in a trench or cover, clicking on that trench or cover sends all the units inside it forward to attack. If clicking a trench or shelter button causes a castle icon to appear, allied soldiers will not take up positions there — they will run straight through instead.
Income per second can also be upgraded, but the enemy's soldiers arrive at the front continuously, so that resource stream matters. For each level, a random number of coins is awarded, with higher-level completions yielding more coins. Those coins go toward upgrading unit characteristics after each victory, and the wide range of characteristics means you'll find countless ways to approach each fight.
Controls

- Keys 1, 2, 3, 4: Select units when playing on a computer
- Click on a trench or cover: Send all units from that position forward to attack
