STORMHAWK
About STORMHAWK: Vertical Arcade Shooter with Roguelite Cards
STORMHAWK is a vertical arcade shooter — a shmup — designed to be played with one hand. Thirty-two hand-built missions unfold over the Pacific, and every run can play out differently thanks to roguelite cards chosen mid-campaign. Several scenes show a blue surface marked with white rippled lines and white puffy clusters beneath the action. A silver airplane with yellow wingtips and red nose cones appears across multiple views, facing upward into the field of play. Twelve planes are available to unlock, and each one handles differently, so the hangar between missions is as much a part of the experience as the flying itself.
How to Play STORMHAWK: Survive Missions, Beat Bosses, Bank Your Score
The core loop is straightforward: survive each mission, defeat its boss, and land to bank everything collected. Chaining kills without missing raises the score multiplier, and that multiplier is what drives leaderboard placement. Firing is automatic, so attention stays on positioning and timing.
Game Modes
- Daily mission — everyone plays the identical run on a given day
- Boss Rush — all 32 bosses back to back
- Six modes total
Mid-Run Progression
Between missions, earnings go into the hangar to unlock planes. Roguelite cards are picked mid-run, meaning no two campaigns build the same way.
Barrel Roll and Special Moves
The barrel roll grants a brief moment of invincibility and converts nearby bullets into points. Holding the second-finger input slows the plane and tightens its shot pattern. A special attack is also available as a separate input.

- Hold (second finger): slow down and tighten your shot
