About Spy: Detective Adventure for 3–15 Players

Spy is an exciting detective party game for 3 to 15 players built around bluff, intuition, and attentiveness. One player among the group is secretly the spy, and everyone else must use observation and deduction to expose that traitor before the hidden location is revealed. The spy, meanwhile, is working just as hard to figure out where they are by reading the questions and reactions of the other players. Logical thinking matters, but so does the ability to read between the lines and sense a lie.

How to Play Spy

Roles are distributed automatically at the start. Once that is done, hit the "Start" button to begin the round. The core loop is a structured question-and-answer survey among all players.

Question and Answer Rules

• One player asks a question to any other player. Questions typically relate to the hidden location, though that is not strictly required.
• Each player may ask only one question per turn.
• The answer can be anything the answering player chooses.
• After answering, that player then asks a question to any other player — except the one who just questioned them.
• Players arrange the order of the survey among themselves.

Location Status and Roles

• If you are not the spy, your location map also shows your status within that location.
• Before the game starts, the group should agree on whether to follow the statuses and play out roles during conversations.

How a Round Ends

• Time runs out: the spy wins.
• General vote: if you suspect someone, the group can vote to expel that person as the spy — each player has one attempt at this.
• Spy reveals themselves: the spy can open up and attempt to guess the location — they also have one attempt.
