Lines 98
About Lines 98: Cult Logic Game on a 9×9 Board
Lines 98 is a cult logic game built around a deceptively simple idea: move colored balls across a 9×9 board to form lines of five or more matching elements. The board occupies the center of the play area, and across several views spheres of different sizes and colors — red, blue, green, yellow, orange, and purple — fill its cells. Small single-colored dots appear centered within some otherwise empty grey squares, hinting at where new balls will land next.
The experience demands attention, strategic thinking, and patience. A classic mode with no time limits keeps the pace relaxed, making it equally welcoming for beginners and seasoned puzzle fans. The interface is intuitive and the design minimalistic. An online leaderboard lets you compete with players worldwide, climb the ranks, set records, and prove yourself the true Lines master.
How to Play Lines 98: Form Lines of Five or More
Click or tap a ball to select it, then tap a free cell to move it there. The ball travels only when the path to that cell is completely clear. The objective is to build a continuous line of five or more same-colored balls running horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Once a valid line forms, those balls vanish and points are awarded.
When a move does not complete a line, new balls appear on the board, shrinking the available space. Planning several steps ahead is essential to avoid filling the board. The game continues as long as at least one free cell exists; when the board is full and no ball can be moved, the game ends.
Controls
- Click / Tap a ball: Select the ball to move
