About Dead Run
Dead Run drops you into a fallen city where rescue helicopters are touching down on rooftops to pull out survivors — but their noise draws every zombie in the area straight toward you. Behind the wheel of an armoured, turret-mounted car, the job is to plough through the horde and keep those buildings standing long enough for everyone to get out. One scene shows a top-down view of grey asphalt roads marked with yellow dashed lines, with several square buildings spread across the map. The action is relentless: special zombies with distinct abilities keep the pressure shifting, and an endless mode means the horde never stops growing.
How to Play Dead Run: Protect Buildings and Survive the Horde
The goal is to hold each landing zone until every survivor boards the helicopter. Zombies swarm toward the noise and attack the buildings directly, so shoot them and ram through them to keep the structures standing.
Lives and Buildings
- Three lives are shown as cars above your health bar — wreck your car and a new one rolls out of the safe house.
- Lose all three cars and the run ends.
- If a building falls, spend scrap to repair it and continue.
Waves and Stars
- Each wave awards up to 3 stars: survive the wave, keep buildings above 50% health, and hit the wave's kill target.
- Between waves, spend scrap on upgrades for your weapons and car.
- The further you progress, the more scrap you keep when the run ends.
Weapon Unlocks
- Shotgun: unlocks at wave 3
- Minigun: unlocks at wave 6
- Bazooka: unlocks at wave 9
- Flamethrower: unlocks at wave 12
Special Zombies
- Riot cops: wear bulletproof vests
- Firefighters: flame-resistant
- Linebackers: charging attackers
- Hazmat zombies: toxic
- Bloaters: explode on death
- Brutes: hulking enemies
