About Tangle Tails: Top-Down Arcade Roguelite

Tangle Tails is a top-down arcade roguelite built around a creature made of bendy joints. The core loop is deceptively physical: ram swarms with your head, wrap your body around them, then close the loop to crush everything caught inside. Each level-up reshapes how your body looks and fights, so no two runs play out the same way.

The game ships with 14 creatures, 6 maps, and 12 bosses that grow more aggressive once their health drops to half. Six game modes and leaderboards give competitive runs a place to land, while quests, relics, shrines, and permanent upgrades keep the meta-progression ticking between attempts. One arena shows a dark green field dotted with small triangular patterns and semi-transparent circular light-green spots.

How to Play Tangle Tails

The goal is to survive as long as possible and defeat the bosses. Hit enemies with your head, then circle them with your body and touch your body with your head to close the loop — everything trapped inside gets crushed. Collect essence gems to level up, then choose one of three mutations that change your body.
