Mahjong Passport
About Mahjong Passport
Mahjong Passport turns a classic tile-matching format into a world tour, sending players through thirteen cities one board at a time. Paris, New York, Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro, Istanbul, London, Cairo, Mumbai, Sydney, Rome, Dubai, Amsterdam, and Cape Town each get their own themed tiles — the Eiffel Tower, yellow taxis, sushi, red buses, camels, koalas, gelato, tulips, and penguins among them. Two travel buddies move along a painted map of each city as progress is made, and every stop rewards a fun fact alongside a stamp in your passport. Clearing a city's levels with three stars earns that city's gold seal, and a Top Players board tracks scores across the community. A daily challenge and missions give reasons to return beyond the main journey.
How to Play Mahjong Passport: Clear Every Tile Before the Tray Fills
The goal is to clear every tile from the board by matching three identical pictures. Selecting a tile moves it into the tray at the bottom of the screen — but the tray holds only seven tiles, and filling it completely ends the level. From level 6 onward, a tile also needs its left or right side open before it can be selected, in addition to having nothing on top of it.
Stars and Timing
Every level begins with three stars, and the clock steadily erodes them. Fast play preserves the full count. From level 11, the top star becomes harder to hold: selecting a covered tile deducts 3 seconds, and on red Hard levels a tray containing 6 tiles costs that star as well. The card shown before each level states exactly which rule is in effect for that stage.
Combos and Boosters
Landing quick matches in succession builds a combo, which adds points and a few extra seconds to the clock. When progress stalls, five tools are available: Undo, Shuffle, Extra Slot, Bomb, and Clear. Finishing levels rewards stars, coins, and city stamps.
Controls
- Tap a tile: Move it into the tray (tile must have nothing on top; from level 6, its left or right side must also be open)
