Clock Out!
About Clock Out!
Clock Out! drops you into the most relatable fantasy in office history: it's 17:59 on a Friday, the boss is hunting for overtime volunteers, and you strap a bundle of firecrackers to your ergonomic chair, leap off the roof, and ride the explosion all the way home. The game is a launch-and-fly distance game built around one-thumb controls, a seven-day narrative arc running Monday through Sunday, and a boss who never stops chasing you in his own hot-air balloon.
Several scenes show a character seated in a black office chair with a bundle of red firecrackers taped to the back. One scene places that launch against a dense urban backdrop of grey-blue brick buildings with fire escapes and glowing windows. In another moment, large purple cloud formations and a blue airplane with yellow engines fill the sky above the city.
The goal each day is to fly the full 5000 km home and land on your own balcony. Do that seven times — Monday to Sunday — and the week is complete, capped with a view of your weekly stats. The difficulty tightens every day, and the boss's rage wave closes in faster as the week progresses. All 65+ art assets follow a claymation direction in a warm dusk palette, and every sound effect is procedural synthesis.
How to Play Clock Out!: Fly 5000 km Before the Boss Catches You
Each run begins with a charge. Press and hold to wind the clock hand from 17:55 toward 18:00 — release right at 18:00 for maximum blast-off power. Once airborne, hold again to dive into a fast, flat glide that steers you toward targets; release to snap back into a ballistic arc. The whole game flows from that single hold-and-release rhythm.
Bouncing and Boosts
- Office gear bounces: land on keyboards, coffee cups, printers, time clocks, or year-end bonus envelopes to bounce back up and regain speed.
- Stomp boosts: dive onto birds, vultures, or delivery drones from above for a big upward launch.
- Hot-air balloon: catch one from any direction for a soft mega-bounce.
- COMBO multiplier: chain consecutive hits without touching the ground to build a COMBO that multiplies coin rewards.
Hazards
- Passenger planes: cut your speed hard on contact.
- Plastic bags: blindfold you.
- Overtime notices and paperwork walls: slow you down.
- Open vent shafts: cause an instant fall.
The Boss Chase
The boss's rage wave follows from behind at all times. Big bounces shake it off; slowing down lets it close in. If the boss catches you, it's back to overtime. Unlimited revives are available — or give up entirely to restart the day, which resets your coins and upgrades but keeps your day progress.
Easter Egg Rushes
- Flying pistol: pick it up to trigger a 10-second tap-to-shoot rush; bullets auto-aim, so just tap fast. Clear every enemy for a jackpot bonus.
- Fighter jet: catch it to hijack it and enter the same 10-second tap-to-shoot rush with the same jackpot condition.
Shop and Progression
Coins collected during runs can be spent in the shop on bigger firecrackers, a bouncier chair, better gliding, and more. Fail a day and those coins and upgrades reset — but the week's day progress is preserved. Clear Sunday to finish the full week and see your stats.
Controls
- Mouse button / SPACE / Finger (hold): charge the clock hand toward 18:00.
- Mouse button / SPACE / Finger (release): launch — the closer to 18:00 at release, the stronger the blast.
- Hold in flight: dive into a fast, flat glide to steer toward targets.
- Release in flight: return to the normal ballistic arc.
- Tap (during rush): fire auto-aimed bullets at enemies during a pistol or jet rush.
