About Evil Pong: Fast-Paced Ball Play with Powerups

Evil Pong takes the classic pong formula and pushes it into faster, more chaotic territory by layering in powerups and speed changes that the original never had. The goal is still to get the ball past your opponent, but the field is anything but plain. One scene shows a dashed vertical grey line splitting the rectangular play area into left and right halves. In that same scene, two horizontal walls made up of several rows of glowing cyan and magenta rectangles run along the top and bottom edges of the field.

How to Play Evil Pong: First to 10 Points Wins

Move your paddle up and down to send the ball past your opponent. The first player to reach 10 points takes the match, and cumulative totals across matches are tracked on the leaderboard.

Scoring

• Score 1 point when the ball passes your opponent's side
• Your opponent scores 1 point when the ball passes your side
• First to 10 wins the match
• Cumulative score across matches is tracked on the leaderboard

Bricks

Rows of bricks line the top and bottom walls. The ball destroys bricks on contact, and some bricks carry special effects:

• Some bricks drop a power orb when destroyed
• Some bricks spawn extra balls when destroyed

Power Orbs

Colored orbs float across the field. When the ball hits one, its effect activates immediately:

• Red Orb: Ball speed doubles for 4 seconds
• Blue Orb: Expands the paddle on the side the ball is heading toward for 20 seconds
• Green Orb: Spawns 3 extra balls from the point of impact; extra balls can also score points

Forcefield

A rotating barrier that drifts across the playing field. The ball bounces off it unpredictably. It appears periodically and disappears after a few seconds.

• W / Arrow Up: Move paddle up (desktop)
• S / Arrow Down: Move paddle down (desktop)
• Touch and drag: Move paddle (mobile)
