Defender: The Last Stand - Play Online
Defender: The Last Stand is a pixel art base defense game. Zombies come in waves. You click. You build. You survive. Developed by PEAKEY Games, this arcade tower defense never lets up. Wave 1 is easy. Wave 50? Pure chaos.
How to Play Defender: The Last Stand
The goal is simple: Don't die. Zombies march from right to left. Your barricade takes the hits. Click zombies to earn metal. Spend metal on towers. Upgrade. Repeat. Each wave hits harder than the last. No breaks. No mercy.
Click to Kill, Build to Survive
Tap zombies directly. Each kill drops metal. Metal buys towers. Four unit types available: Submachine Gunner (cheap, fast fire), Shotgunner (close-range beast), Grenade Launcher (area damage), Sniper (high damage, hits everyone in line). Place units. Let them auto-fire. Focus your clicks on stragglers.
Upgrade or Get Overrun
Waves scale infinitely. Enemy health spikes every round. Your starting units won't cut it past Wave 10. Open the side panel. Upgrade tiers: I, II, III, IV, V. Each tier boosts damage per second and unlock costs. Pro tip: Prioritize Grenadiers early. Crowd control wins.
Use Abilities at the Right Moment
Zombies drop temporary power-ups. Enemy Slowdown. Damage Boost. Economic Bonuses. Don't waste them on weak waves. Save the damage boost for Wave 20+. Stack slowdown with grenadier explosions for massive clear.
Target Priority Matters
Access Target Priority settings in the Foundry menu. Toggle focus: Healers first? Tanks last? Adjust based on wave composition. Wrong priority = wasted DPS. Test. Tweak. Survive.
