How to Play Hungry Abyss

The Goal: You're a slime born from darkness. One objective drives you: satisfy the Anomaly's endless hunger. Consume mass across 10 biomes. Deliver it to the central portal. Level up. Mutate into something stronger. Face the final Boss.

Core Eating Loop

Move toward food. Touch it. Absorb it. Your stomach fills up fast. Full stomach? Can't eat basic food anymore. Rush to the portal. Dump your mass. Portal levels up. You evolve. New biome unlocks. Enemies get smarter. Hold Left Mouse Button (or drag finger on mobile) to glide across the map. No complicated controls. Just hunt and feed.

Shadow Dash Mechanic

Got armor-plated enemies blocking your path? Burn 1 mass to activate Shadow Dash. Press Right Mouse Button (double tap on mobile). Dash forward. Break enemy armor. Dodge attacks. Critical for survival in later biomes. Don't waste it on weak targets. Save dashes for hunting shadows and explosive crystals.

Mutation System Strategy

Portal feeds unlock mutations. Four upgrade paths: HP (survive longer), Stomach Capacity (carry more mass per trip), Speed (outrun hunters), Magnet Power (auto-collect nearby food). Early game? Max out Stomach Capacity. Fewer portal trips = faster progression. Mid-game? Invest in Speed to escape hunting shadows. Late biomes? HP becomes essential. Boss fight demands it.

Enemy Types & Counters

10 biomes = 10 enemy rosters. Shy Leprechauns run away when you approach. Chase them down early. Hunting Shadows track you relentlessly. Use Shadow Dash to break their pursuit. Explosive Crystals detonate on contact. Dash through them or bait the explosion from range. Each biome layers complexity. Learn patterns or die fast.
