Pool (American billiards) brings the well-known American billiards experience to your screen. Two players compete in turns, each assigned a different type of ball — striped or solid — with the goal of pocketing their set before sinking the black ball last. The only ball a player may strike directly is the white cue ball. A green felt surface is surrounded by a dark wood-textured frame containing six circular pockets. At the start of one match, fifteen colored balls are arranged in a triangular formation.

The game supports two modes: facing a PC bot (or smartphone opponent) or sitting down with a friend on the same device and alternating turns.

How to Play Pool (American billiards)

The turn structure is straightforward — pocket a ball of your assigned type and earn another shot; miss or pocket the wrong ball and the turn passes to your opponent. The black ball must be the very last one pocketed.

To strike, select the flight path of the cue ball, then drag your finger or mouse along the cue from top to bottom, as if pulling it back. The further back the cue is pulled, the harder the resulting shot.

Inside the game settings, the cue side can be set to either right or left, which determines the force of the blow. The difficulty level of the bot opponent can also be adjusted from the settings.
