About Abyss Contract: Dark Fantasy Roguelite with Signed Curses

Abyss Contract is a dark fantasy roguelite survivor built around a contract system that puts difficulty entirely in your hands. Before each run, you sign curses onto your contract — a denser swarm, a dimmer lantern, angrier enemies — and the harsher the terms you accept, the more in-game gold the run returns. The game spans 5 biomes, 25 contracts, 3 heroes, and 52 upgrade cards.

Several scenes show a dark, lantern-lit atmosphere where enemies press in from multiple directions. One scene shows a dense cluster of creatures surrounding the player character in a confined space.

How to Play Abyss Contract: Sign, Descend, and Fulfil

Sign a contract, descend into the abyss, and complete its terms. Each contract sets a distinct task — the objective varies across the 25 available contracts.

Contract Objectives

  • Destroy the nests
  • Survive the waves
  • Bring down the monolith
  • Hold the beacon
  • Kill the boss

Your weapon fires automatically at the nearest enemy, so positioning is the core skill — there is no aim button. Level up during a run to pick upgrade cards from the 52 in the pool. When the objective is complete, either end the run and bank your gold, or descend one rung deeper — each rung raises the in-game gold multiplier, but dying down there takes half of it. Gold is spent inside the game on permanent hero upgrades and unlocking new characters.
