How to Play Micro.io

The primary objective is to eat the tiny glowing food particles scattered across the map, steadily increasing your mass. When your cell grows large enough, move over smaller bots to swallow them whole. If a larger cell is nearby, retreat — running away is a legitimate survival strategy.

Splitting and Ejecting Mass

• Split: Divides your cell in half, launching one half forward — an effective way to catch fast, smaller prey. Enough mass is required to split.
• Eject Mass: Fires a small piece of your mass forward. Your size decreases slightly, but the action opens up strategic options such as feeding teammates or baiting opponents.

Advanced Tactics

• Viruses: Part of the battlefield toolkit alongside splitting and mass ejection.
• Karma System: Betraying allied teammates triggers consequences — forming and honoring strategic teams is a meaningful choice.
• Intelligent Bots: The battlefield is populated with bots that behave as active opponents, not passive targets.
