Merge Champions is a merge auto-battler where you assemble an army on a grid, combine matching units to push them up through power tiers, and then watch your forces fight entirely on their own. Two troop types — melee and ranged — each span 11 tiers, so the army you build one run looks nothing like the last. Beyond the main stages, the game opens up wave-survival dungeons, a timed gold mine, and a PvP arena where you raid other players' armies for trophies and climb the rankings.

How to Play Merge Champions: Build, Merge, and Battle
Tap a unit card to purchase a soldier and place it on the grid. Drag one unit onto another of the same type and tier to merge them into the next tier — higher tiers hit far harder than a pile of weaker units. When the board is ready, tap FIGHT and the battle runs automatically. A speed button lets you fast-forward through the action. Clearing a stage earns coins and gems; spend those in UPGRADE and SHOP to raise your army's power before the next fight. The goal is to progress as far as possible and climb the leaderboard.
As you advance, opposing teams grow larger and stronger, requiring combinations of warriors at different ranks while keeping enough grid space to expand and enough resilience to absorb enemy attacks. Every 10th level brings a boss battle, which causes a significant jump in the opponent's power, and the HP of some warriors also increases at that point. Earning gold and gems in the side modes, checking the Shop, and upgrading characters are the primary ways to accelerate progress.
