Hex Mine 2D is a relaxing hexagonal puzzle game that challenges your deductive reasoning across 30 handcrafted levels. Every board is made up of orange hexagons, each hiding one of two possible states: blue or black. Numbered clue cells tell you exactly how many of their neighboring cells must be blue, and the entire game is designed so that pure logic—never guessing—is enough to reach the solution. Several scenes show the characteristic orange hex grid alongside dark numbered clue cells. The visual style is clean and minimalist throughout.
The goal is to correctly identify every orange hexagon as either blue or black. A number inside a dark clue cell states how many of that cell's adjacent neighbors must be blue. By combining multiple clues and looking at where they overlap, you are able to deduce the state of each orange cell with certainty. Once every orange cell has been marked—either blue or black—the puzzle is complete.
Special clue symbols may indicate that blue cells must be consecutive, separated, or located along a specific direction. Overlapping clues, consecutive groups, directional clues, and advanced deduction patterns appear as the levels progress.
Some versions may also include separate Blue and Black selection buttons.
