GrowBreak puts you in charge of a tree under siege. Bugs are swarming in, and your only defense is launching drops of resin from a branch to knock them out brick-breaker style. The game blends the instant satisfaction of bouncing projectiles off bugs with the deeper pull of an incremental progression system — grow your tree, unlock skills, prune it back, and plant permanent bonuses in your Forest. Several scenes show the tree at the center of the action, with bugs closing in from multiple directions. No idle mechanics are involved: every upgrade and bonus is earned through active play, and failing a swarm costs nothing — it simply restarts and you keep everything you had.
Each round, bugs advance on your tree and you must clear the swarm before the timer runs out. Bounce resin drops off the bugs to destroy them, earn sap for doing so, then spend that sap on upgrades in the Tree between rounds. Every five swarms a boss appears; defeating it rewards seeds, which unlock skills. Once you're ready, prune the tree to earn buds, and use those buds to plant permanent bonuses in your Forest.
