Thousand Suns drops you into a galactic conquest where a full empire-building war plays out in roughly five minutes. Starting from a single home planet, you race against four AI rivals to claim an entire galaxy — building production, advancing technology, and pushing fleets across the stars before anyone else can lock down the map.
Every match begins with one planet and one objective: expand before the four bots do. Your homeworld produces ships continuously, and you direct that growing fleet outward to claim neutral worlds or take enemy territory. Each planet captured adds more production, more strategic options, and more pressure on rivals still racing to dominate the galaxy.
When a planet levels up, a pulsing arrow appears above it. Selecting it lets you choose the next upgrade from three paths:
Connecting a ferry lane between two of your planets causes newly produced ships to flow automatically to the destination. Selecting an existing ferry lane disconnects it.
If the territory-claiming side of Thousand Suns appeals to you, strategy games on Playgama offer a wide range of empire-building and tactical challenges. For more star-faring action, the space games collection and the war games category both have plenty to explore.
Expand.io shares the same core drive of claiming territory and pushing rivals off the map one zone at a time. Fleet commanders will find a different angle in Fleet Merge, a starship merge auto-battler where you position ships and read enemy formations before each fight. For turn-based strategy with a destructible map twist, Grid Force pits armies on hexagonal stone islands that crumble as the battle progresses. If building and evolving an army across eras sounds appealing, Army Evolution: Merge & Tactics lets you combine units from knights to futuristic robots into an ever-stronger force.
