Supernova: The "Charon" Protocol is a vertical space shoot 'em up where the screen floods with fire and you thread your ship between hundreds of bullets. The last fleet is making its run, and you are flying point — from Earth orbit all the way to the void rift across eleven sectors. One scene shows small, grey, cratered irregular shapes scattered across a dark background.
Each sector ends with an enemy flagship: a multi-phase machine whose turrets can be shot off one by one, and which forgives one mistake but never two. Between sorties, the hangar lets you pick your hull and your gun, add drones, a bomb bay, and a wing of escorts, paint the ship your way, and fly back stronger. Every credit earned in battle goes into the next upgrade.
Survive the waves, shoot down the enemy flagship at the end of each sector, and spend your credits in the hangar between sorties. The ship fires on its own by default, so the core challenge is threading through enemy fire while managing your bomb and focus tools. Clear the campaign and see what waits past the final sector.
Every key can be remapped in Controls.
All 9 weapons power up mid-fight.
If the bullet-threading intensity of Supernova: The "Charon" Protocol appeals to you, the broader world of shooting games is packed with titles that test your aim and reflexes. For more cosmic action, Salvage Corps puts you in procedurally generated sectors dodging hostile factions while your weapons autofire — a strong match for fans of space combat with upgrade loops. Galaxy Shoot strips the formula down to a single auto-rotating turret and constantly moving targets, rewarding the same split-second focus that flagship battles demand. Snake of Bullets: Collect and Shoot! blends shooter mechanics with snake and runner gameplay across a large number of levels for a different kind of arcade challenge.
