About Ricoshield: No Weapon, Just a Guard and Ricochets

Ricoshield is an arcade skill shooter built around a single, sharp paradox: the enemies attacking you are also your only ammunition. A guard orbits your core, and every enemy you catch on it becomes a bolt fired straight back out. Clear the screen completely and you have nothing left to shoot with. Let it fill up and one missed angle ends the run.

Three concentric circular rings frame the play area in several scenes across the game.

Armoured enemies add a harder layer to this balance — they bounce off the guard entirely and can only be killed by a ricochet from another enemy, so keeping threats alive on purpose becomes part of the strategy. Every 20 seconds a choice of three upgrades appears, drawn from a pool of seventeen. Every fourth wave a Crucible ring surrounds the arena, and its armour nodes are only reachable by ricochet. Shards earned across runs unlock six cores that each play as genuinely different games, plus three permanent perks. Runs last a couple of minutes, and restarting takes one tap.

How to Play Ricoshield

The guard follows the angle of your pointer, so positioning it is a matter of aiming at the right moment rather than moving a character. Catch an incoming enemy on the guard and it deflects as a bolt, flying outward and destroying anything it hits.

The PERFECT Zone

The white tip at the centre of the guard is the PERFECT zone. Landing a deflect there produces a stronger bolt, doubles the combo, and slows the world while the chain reaction plays out.

Armoured Enemies

Red armoured enemies bounce off the guard and cannot be deflected directly. The only way to kill them is a ricochet from another enemy, which means keeping other threats alive on purpose to set up the shot.

Combo and Core Plates

Keeping the combo alive raises the score multiplier. Three core plates protect your core; lose all three and the run ends.

Upgrades and the Crucible

Every 20 seconds, pick one of three upgrades from a pool of seventeen. Every fourth wave, a Crucible ring surrounds the arena — its armour nodes can only be reached by ricochet.

Ranks and the Daily Challenge

Every run is ranked when it ends. Open RANKS from the game over screen or the pause menu to see the global leaderboard and your own ten best runs — the one just finished is highlighted so you always know which score to beat next. A seeded daily challenge sets a new rule every day, using the same seed for every player, and a streak counter rewards returning for it.

Cores and Perks

Shards from every run unlock six cores that each play as genuinely different games, plus three permanent perks.
