Melon Sandbox is an open-ended creative sandbox where imagination drives everything. From the moment the game loads, a wide selection of items is available: melee weapons, guns, barrels, armored vehicles, magical syringes, characters, accessories, background textures, and a large number of user mods and objects — including styles inspired by well-known games, movies, and memes. The goal is to build any scene, fill it with objects and characters, and then test it using weapons, vehicles, explosions, and other tools, observing the resulting effects and destruction.
There is no formal level system and no enemies at the start. Difficulty is entirely self-directed — the sandbox provides an endless field of possibilities for self-expression and creativity. Creations can be saved and shared with the community, and mods uploaded by other players may be brought into your own world to diversify it further.
In one scene, a green humanoid figure raises a grey axe in a snowy outdoor setting. Another moment places a large blue aquatic creature alongside vertical green plants in an underwater environment. Four humanoid figures with different colors and textures appear in front of a yellow patterned wall in a separate scene.
Double-click any item to invoke its context menu, where options include activating, resizing, changing textures, and more. When a scene is ready, hit the "Save" button — saved scenes appear in the corresponding item list tab. The map theme change menu lets you adjust surrounding decor, and additional elements can be used to diversify the environment.
From the very first session, all creative elements are accessible. As you explore the full range of possibilities, worlds, maps, mods, and scenarios can be made more complex by combining provided elements in new ways or by creating entirely new objects, which are then stored in your file manager. The store and editors display what other players have created, and current events and activities in the store offer opportunities to earn additional internal currencies.
There is no formal win condition. The aim is to unleash creative potential — build scenes, populate them with objects and characters, then test everything using weapons, vehicles, explosions, and other tools while observing the effects and destruction.
Difficulty is entirely in your hands. There is no formal level system and no enemies at the start — the challenge grows only as you choose to complicate your own worlds, maps, mods, and scenarios.
Cups and Coins are the game's internal currencies. They can be spent to purchase mods, maps, and games created by other players. Additional currencies can be earned through current events and activities displayed in the store.
Yes — from the moment the game opens, all possible creative elements are accessible. The sandbox is ready for your ideas immediately, with no locked starting content.
Mods created by other players may be uploaded directly into your world to diversify it. The store and editors let you browse what the community has made, and you are able to also create entirely new objects that are stored in your own file manager.

Gamer's Mod is an advanced physics sandbox with no strict rules, letting you build bunkers, collect cars, or spawn mobs — much like the freeform experimentation at the heart of Melon Sandbox.
Fans of creative construction will also find plenty to enjoy across simulation games, while those drawn to the absurd, experimental side of sandbox play should explore the funny games collection.
