About LetterHold

LetterHold is a word-building board game where drawing letters, spelling words across a 15x15 board, and claiming premium squares before your opponent does are the core activities. Every tile shows its word's point value before you commit the play, turning each turn into a deliberate decision. Stretch a word through a triple-word square, hook onto an existing word to score both at once, or swap a letter for a higher-value one — the board rewards planning at every step. Blanks stand in for any letter, and a hint is available whenever a move is hard to find.

LetterHold supports three letter sets and three languages — English, Ukrainian, and Polish — each with its own tile distribution and dedicated word list, checked on the spot. Solo play against a bot runs on easy, medium, or hard difficulty. Pass-and-play on one screen accommodates two to four seats, and online play lets you join a friend by invite or room code, find a quick match with a stranger, or simply watch a live room.

How to Play LetterHold: Score More Points Than Your Opponent

The goal is to finish with a higher score than your opponent. The game ends when the bag is empty and one player uses up their entire rack; the highest score at that point wins.

Words must connect to what is already on the board, and every word formed is checked against the dictionary of the chosen language. Premium squares multiply either a single letter's value or the entire word's value. Using all your tiles in a single turn earns a bonus.
