About Dicey Chickens

Dicey Chickens is a dice-versus-monsters castle defense game where chicken heroes line up at the bottom of the battlefield and roll six-sided dice automatically, firing attacks upward at monsters marching down from the top. Each hero carries a die built from two attack types — and sometimes shield, heal, or speed faces — so every roll carries real weight. Enemies chip away at your castle HP when they reach the wall, and surviving five waves per stage, including a boss fight on the final wave, is the only way to clear it. Lose your castle HP and the run ends. Across the full campaign, 100 stages are spread across ten worlds in the Chicken Coop Run mode.

How to Play Dicey Chickens: Survive Five Waves Per Stage

Each run begins by picking a hero to defend the castle. Additional heroes can be recruited between waves as the run progresses, up to a maximum of three. Heroes roll their dice on their own, so attacks fire without manual input — but tapping a hero's die forces an instant reroll whenever a clutch hit is needed.

Leveling Up and Spell Upgrades

Every enemy kill earns XP. On leveling up, choose one of three spell upgrades to grow die faces, copy the strongest side, roll faster, or unlock hero-specific combos. These choices shape how each hero's die evolves through the run.

Effects and Die Faces

Spell upgrades can add status effects to die faces, including bleed, poison, freeze, and knockback. Because each hero's die is built from a defined set of face types, the upgrades chosen determine which effects appear and how often they land.

Between Runs: Upgrades and Progression

Clearing all five waves earns rewards. Coins, crystals, and weapon shards accumulated between runs go toward permanently upgrading heroes and ranking up spells in the Hero Upgrades and Spell Book menus, building strength before the next run.
