About Cards in Fool: Strategic Turn-Based Online Card Game

Cards in Fool brings the classic Russian card game Durak to an online multiplayer format. The goal is straightforward — shed all your cards before your opponent does, forcing them to draw from the deck instead. Strategic decisions about when to attack and when to defend shape every match, and a live leaderboard tracks how well you're doing across games.

How to Play Cards in Fool

The deck contains 36 cards. At the start of each match, one trump card is revealed, establishing the highest suit for that game. The player holding the smallest trump card takes the first turn.

On each turn, the attacking player leads with any card. The defending player must beat it with a higher card of the same suit or any trump card. If the defender successfully beats every card played, the attack passes to them and they become the attacker. If the defender cannot or does not beat a card, they take all the cards on the table and the other player attacks again.

Play continues until the deck is empty. The first player to have no cards remaining wins the match and earns points on the leaderboard. If both players empty their hands simultaneously, the result is a draw — no points are awarded or deducted in that case.
