Backrooms Craft drops you into the wrong side of a door — damp carpet underfoot, fluorescent lights humming overhead, and yellow wallpaper stretching further than any building has a right to contain. The premise is simple and unsettling: there is no exit, only what you are able to build and what hunts you in the dark.
The world reshuffles every time you start a new run, with one exception: the first hall always stays the same. A yellow line on the floor marks the boundary between the safe zone and the rest — everything built inside that line holds its place; past it, nothing does. Several scenes across the game show those long yellow-paneled corridors with grid-tiled ceilings and recessed square lights running into the distance. One area opens into a poolroom of small white square tiles covering walls, floor, and pillars, with pools of blue water sitting between them. Another space fills an entire large room with rows of dark brown wooden shelving units across a gray floor.
The zones you push into include poolrooms in white tile, server halls in blue half-light, warehouses, and hotel corridors. Locked rooms, anomalous seams, and flickering zones are all logged in the journal as you find them. Health, hunger, thirst, and sanity all need managing: almond water steadies the mind, and a bandage closes wounds. In the dark, a torch is the only thing standing between you and whatever walks there.
The loop starts with what the last expedition left behind. A chair comes apart into sticks, sticks become a torch, boards become a workbench. From there the chain continues — stone tools, then steel, each tier opening materials the previous one could not touch. The furnace smelts metal; the salvage bench strips furniture into parts. Every crafted item feeds the next step of survival.
