About Shadow Duel
Shadow Duel is a one-on-one katana duel drawn in ink and moonlight, where every blow can be parried if you read it in time, every parry opens a counter, and counters can be countered — until the rally ends in one cinematic finishing strike. The game pits thirteen ninjas against each other across seven arenas, each fighter carrying a distinct weapon and a signature ki technique. Several scenes show one character in a wide conical hat and black suit facing an opponent in red pants and a white top.
The roster spans a wide range of weapons: katana, nodachi, twin tanto, naginata, kusarigama, bo staff, war fans, and a bow. Each ninja has an eight-fight journey with its own ending, mastery stars, and Legacy colors. Competitive players may enter a monthly tournament or climb a Dan rank trial that runs from Kyu 10 all the way to Dan 10. Two players may share one keyboard or use two gamepads, and there is also an AI opponent available on three difficulty levels.
How to Play Shadow Duel: Read Your Opponent and Counter
Victory comes from reading your opponent. Tap the guard input just before a hit lands to parry, then strike back immediately. Parries open counters, and those counters can themselves be countered, so every exchange is a layered back-and-forth that resolves in a single decisive blow. Blade locks, posture breaks, dashes, air slashes, and shuriken are all part of the toolkit across the seven arenas.
