About Clankmates: Couch Auto-Battler for Two Players
Clankmates is a two-player auto-battler played on a single device. Both players build robots simultaneously, then watch those robots fight each other automatically in a junkyard arena filled with crushers and saw pits. The first player to win 5 rounds takes the match. Alongside local head-to-head play, Clankmates includes a VS CPU mode and a ranked ladder with a leaderboard.
How to Play Clankmates: Build, Upgrade, and Win 5 Rounds
Each round opens on a split screen where both players build at the same time. Tap a part card to purchase it, then buy the same part a second time to upgrade it. Parts available in the shop include saws, hammers, lasers, tesla coils, boxing gloves, wheels, treads, and jetpacks. Collecting matching parts can unlock set bonuses. The shop can be rerolled for fresh options, or a player can press ready to lock in their build early.
Once both players are ready, the bots fight entirely on their own inside the junkyard arena. The loser of each round receives bonus scrap to spend in the next build phase, keeping the competition close. Win five rounds to claim the match.

- A / D / W / S: Player 1 navigates the shop
- Space: Player 1 selects or buys a part card
- R: Player 1 rerolls the shop
- E: Player 1 presses ready
- Arrow keys: Player 2 navigates the shop
- Enter: Player 2 selects or buys a part card
- P: Player 2 rerolls the shop
- O: Player 2 presses ready
- Esc: Pause
