Voice Chat Requirements

To call someone on Roblox, you’ll need to use the voice chat feature called Roblox Connect. First, make sure you’re 13 or older and have verified your account with a government-issued ID through Roblox’s age verification system. Without this verification, voice calling won’t be available to you.

Setting Up Voice Chat

Navigate to your account settings and look for the Privacy tab. You’ll find voice chat options there – toggle on “Enable voice chat” and “Use camera” if you want video calls too. Your microphone permissions need to be enabled in your browser or device settings as well.

Making a Call

Once everything’s set up, you can call friends directly through the Roblox app or website. Open your friends list, find the person you want to call, and look for the phone or video call icon next to their name. Click it to start the call – they’ll receive a notification and can choose to accept or decline.

Call Features and Limitations

Roblox Connect supports both voice-only and video calls with up to 12 people simultaneously. You can mute yourself, turn your camera on or off, and even share your screen during calls. Keep in mind that calls work best when both users are online and have stable internet connections.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

If calling isn’t working, double-check that both you and your friend have voice chat enabled and verified accounts. Sometimes clearing your browser cache or restarting the Roblox app helps resolve connection problems. The feature is still rolling out globally, so it might not be available in all regions yet.
